When a delivery is received, a duplicate delivery slip is completed, indicating details of the goods and is attached to the delivery.
The intended recipient of the goods can then be informed of their arrival. Upon collection, the recipient must sign and retain the top copy of the delivery slip to assume ownership and prove that they have collected the goods.
At the same time as the delivery slip is generated a master register of all deliveries received is created.
