A simple, yet disciplined procedure to help organisations complete a pre-use inspection of their mobile screens to ensure they are safe for use.
The mobile screen inspection pad enables an organisation to work through a duplicate checklist and carry out a pre-use inspection, ensuring the mobile screen is safe for use. The top copy of the checklist is displayed on or by the mobile screen to show that it has passed its inspection. The duplicate copy remains in the pad as evidence that the inspection has taken place in the event of an HSE investigation.

How to use
When conducting a pre-use check the operator can simply work down the inspection checklist, checking the safety of each component in turn. This simple procedure helps you to comply with the Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (commonly referred to as PUWER) regulation 5 which states all work equipment must be maintained and be safe to do the job for which it is intended.
Once the inspection is complete, assuming safety has been established, the inspection certificate can be placed inside a safety status indicator wallet on or near the mobile screen within a display paddle ensuring that every employee can clearly see that it is safe for use. Faulty mobile screens can be similarly identified and taken out of service for maintenance.
The duplicate copy of the certificate remains inside the inspection pad and can be used as evidence of inspections should you ever need to produce this for the HSE or other official bodies.
